Philips teamed up with director Adam Berg to produce Carousel, a three minute branded film enacting a frozen, staged scene of a robbery gone wrong. This interactive campaign was created for Tribal DDB, Amsterdam for Philips’ new CINEMA 21:9 TV.
The film runs as an endless loop and viewers can control their moves through the scene. The film also contains embedded links, which give us a behind-the-scenes look and background information.
This film is just done so well, a fantastic concept meets flawless execution. Its compelling and creates a true experience. I love the narrative being told in the ‘frozen style’, only revealing itself towards the very end. And bravo to Philips and Tribal to have the balls to do something radical as this. Its a great example of an engaging, branded story and shows how the web can be used in a much richer way. Or as Motiongraphicer wrote: “This is an exciting time for story-tellers of all mediums”
A big bow to our friends at Stink… bravo gents…
