Begin 2006 zond de IKON door door ons geproduceerde documentaire Haagse Sjonnie uit. Een portret van John Waldschmit, Hagenees en ADO-supporter in hart en nieren. Niet alleen bereikte de documentaire hoge kijkcijfers, het bleek ook één van de meest online bekeken documentaires van de publieke omroepen.
Interessant om eens te kijken wat er allemaal rondom Sjonnie op internet is gebeurd nadat hij in één keer landelijke bekendheid kreeg.
Zo werd er direct een officieuze ‘trailer’ gemaakt door fans. Deze is ondertussen ruim 1,8 miljoen keer bekeken:

The trailer of our documentary CRIPS, Strapped’n'Strong is live!
CRIPS, Strapped’n'Strong a documentary about the violent life of a Dutch gang in The Hague, The Crips. Formed to emulate their LA examples, they make a living using armed robbery and drug crime while seeking solace making rap music. The film shows their culture of violence, brotherhood and loyalty, but at the same time it reveals their desires and battle to beat the crime with rhythm…
Premiere on 27th March at the Filmfestival Breda, followed by a cinema release. End of this year the film will be broadcasted by Dutch broadcaster BNN.
